If your school runs Legacy Wall, you now also get Beacon — calendar-aware digital signage — at no extra cost. The same kiosk can show your recognition wall and a live "today at school" board (calendar, upcoming events, announcements, weather, and more), and one computer can even drive two screens at once — a touch Legacy Wall and a Beacon board side by side.

Like Legacy Wall, every Beacon screen flips to a full-screen alert the moment your school triggers a BlueBird emergency, then returns to normal afterward. Learn more at beacon.ets3d.com.

We hardened the emergency notification pipeline end to end, including automatic recovery if a push is delayed, so alerts reach staff devices faster and more dependably.

Emergency alerts continue to use critical notifications that sound through silent mode and Do Not Disturb.

The same quick check-in now works for lockdowns: staff confirm their room is secured, and admins see a live count of classrooms secured versus still outstanding — so you know at a glance where to direct attention.

Mount a permanent QR code at each assembly point. During an evacuation or drill, staff scan it on arrival to check in their group.

Admins get a live board showing which points have reported in and how many students are accounted for at each. It works offline — the scan syncs as soon as the device reconnects.

When you release a student to a parent or guardian during an incident, BlueBird now records it — who was released, to whom, how their identity was verified, and by which staff member.

Released students are counted separately on the roll call (🏠) so your accounted total stays accurate, and every hand-off appears in the incident report as the record of who picked up each child.

Triggering an alert is now one clear hold-to-activate button. Hold to begin, pick the alert type, confirm, and verify with Face ID / fingerprint — designed to be fast under pressure while preventing accidental activations.

The button scales to the size of the device so it's easy to hit on both phones and tablets.

The BlueBird Alerts app is available on both major app stores:

• Apple App Store — for iPhone and iPad
• Google Play — for Android phones and tablets
