After years of managing technology in K-12 schools in Missouri, I kept running into the same problem: when something went wrong, getting an alert to every staff member fast enough was harder than it should be. PA systems don't reach everyone. Group texts are slow and unreliable. Most of the "enterprise" emergency platforms we evaluated were built for office buildings, not schools — with pricing and complexity to match.
So I built BlueBird Alerts. Nights and weekends, alongside my actual job. Every feature comes from a real problem I've seen or a gap I've noticed while managing school technology day-to-day.
BlueBird isn't a general emergency platform with a "schools" landing page. The alarm activation flow, the student roster and accountability tools, the hall pass system, the multi-school district architecture — all of it was designed from scratch for the K-12 context, with the constraints and expectations of school staff in mind.
That means no mandatory 40-question onboarding. No sales-driven feature gates. No per-user fees that make your tech budget spike every time you hire a new teacher. Just a tool that works.
BlueBird Alerts is operated by BlueBird Alerts LLC, an independent product company founded by the team at Emery Tech Solutions LLC. The founder is an active K–12 IT director based in Missouri who uses and depends on school technology every day — every product decision is made by someone in the field, not by a product team three degrees removed from a classroom.
